I think you might be able to no worries. I mash at 3 or 4 litres to 1 kg of grain. So 4 kg of grain, so 3x4 = 12 litres plus the grain bering 4 kg im thinking in my poor old head i would give it a go. Gash will jump in here if ive missed anything but in my minds eye it should work. cheers takecare

You probably could mash, umm say 12L of water and 4kg of grain.. hmmm might be awkward but it would work.. but I see problems with the sparge, say for 20L batch you'd want at least 25L so you'd have to sparge with around 18L that would be more awkward.. and you couldnt boil the whole amount in one pot, though not impossible in batches... Be an easier brew day to use some dry malt or a tin or something.

Thanks for the replies. Might be too big a challenge for my 2nd brew!
Has anyone ever made this beer with tins or a mini mash combo?
