Home brew Punk IPA Clone first printed in BYO Magazine Jan/Feb 2010, made with advice from the brewdog guys themselves.

5 Gallons/ 19L OG=1.060 FG=1.014 IBU=62 SRM=8 ABV=6%

Ingredients

12.5lbs (5.7kg) Marris Otter pale malt
16 AAU Columbus hop pellets (90mins) 1.5oz/ 45g at 11%
8.0 AAU Ahtanum hop pellets (0mins) 1.0oz/ 28g at 8%
1.0oz/ 28g Amarillo hop pellets (dry hop)
White Labs WLP007 (dry English ale yeast) 1qt/ 1L starter

Method
Mash grains 149F/65C for 1 hour, and sparge to collect about 6 gallons/ 23 L of wort.
Boil for 90 minutes with Columbus hops at start and add Ahtanum at knock-out.
Cool and add yeast as a starter made 2-3 days earlier.
Oxygenate well and let ferment for 3-5 days.
Rack into secondary and add Amarillo hops in a sanitised muslin bag.
Rack after one or two weeks and bottle or keg as desired.

Seems this beer has changed since this post last, Brewdog have changed a few ingredients,
ABV:
5.6%
OG:
1053
IBU's:
45
Malts:
Marris Otter Extra Pale Malt
Hops:
Chinook, Simcoe, Ahtanum, Nelson Sauvin
Twist:
Hopped with bucket loads of our favourite hops

straight from the web site

seems low on the IBU for a IPA
but then its probably a English IPA not an American IPA which are usually higher
No hints on the colour unless they add smidgeon of crystal to get it into range?
The "Twist" could be a mix of the above hops for dry hoping but thats unclear
most posts suggest Amarillo ?

Thoughts anyone

cheers

Been a long while since I've had one, may have to check a bottle if I can find one, last time I went to Dans they didn't have any.

yes it is .. why on earth would they tone down the IBU?

probably to make it more affordable to make.

Someone on a forum said that they actually add sugar to get the ABV up and has brewed this beer
with the Brewer and can confirm this too

Going to have to keep an eye out at the shop for this when they get it in again..
so I can have an idea of the color and taste before I have a go at brewing it.

by the looks they toned down the alcohol, so I guess they toned down the IBU too. I went to the Alestars when the brewdog guys were hosting and there was no mention of sugar at all. Although it is common practice in most breweries.
