Smokey Dark Ale - Experiment #01

1.7kg Tooheys Dark Ale (Coopers could be used)
1.25kg German Smoked Malt
300g Dextrose
250g Caramunich Malt
200g Chocolate Malt
1pkg US05 Safale

Mashed grains @ 67c in 4.5L water for 75 mins.
Removed grain bag, and placed into 7.2L of water @ 74c for 10mins.
Removed grain bag and discarded grain.
Boiled for 60mins then added dextrose and Tooheys Dark Ale.
Cooled to 20c and added the yeast.

Will ferment for 14 days

Kit Brew Day Tomorrow, Black Rock Pale ale and number 40 larger brew enhancer by mangrove jacks. And possibly some honey. Yeast US05 ??

Brewing a familiar Dark Mild later today. (hint: Was the bastard tired? Or was he run over by a tire (tyre). No one really knows). One thing for sure. It will be a treat when done. Cheers!
