Mate what i am actually doing is a 20L brew in the Brewzilla. I bought a recipe pack from Brewmart in Perth which comes with basic instructions, not sure what to do with it, there is a recipe in BS3 with a 'Brewzilla 20L no sparge' profile. Not sure If I should follow the recipe instructions and see how it goes or use the 'no sparge' profile?

Sorry mate missed this, hmm you may struggle with a 20L brew in the brewzilla, if the grain bill is big, I could suggest using more water and doing a longer boil.

Hey mate, sorry I commented on the YT vid but figured would be best to post here.
You've allowed for only 1 litre of loss to trub and chiller. Shouldn't this be equal to the RB dead space (which is 3.5L)? Being the loss when transferring to the fermenter? Does this mean you've allowed for tipping the RB on its side to extract some of the dead space volume? Sorry if I've confused myself, this is the only part I can't get my head around. Cheers!

Hi Sammy,
The area below the mash pipe and bottom screen is not really dead space. The pump comes off the bottom and leaves about 10mm of liquid, the side outlet leaves slightly more. With the pump the 1 litre is about right.
Cheers
Chris

Ah, so this relates more so to the gen 3. Of course.
I own a gen 1, so no pump. Do you think I should allow to tip it and gain some extra volume and leave the numbers as they are?

Just poured 1 litre of water in my gen 3 and just trickles in to pump and side outlet so both are the same. Is the side outlet that much higher on the gen 1 ?

Hi Gash, setting myself up learning Beersmith after picking up a 35L Brewzilla which is awesome:)
Quick question about your 35L Robobrew/Brewzilla profile do you use both elements for the boil?
Cheers,
Lucas

Which heating elements are best to use for the mash and ramp up to mash out?

Seems to have a funky smell after cleaning with StellaClean(PBW) is that normal? Ive never used PBW before, I thought I rinsed it out well with warm water.

Brewing a familiar Dark Mild later today. (hint: Was the bastard tired? Or was he run over by a tire (tyre). No one really knows). One thing for sure. It will be a treat when done. Cheers!
