I throw mine straight in, then give it a stir (whirlpool) immediately then let it sit for 10 mins. But what xenon did is fine too. And what you suggested would be fine, you could try chilling to around 75c and then put them in. All methods will work, they'll all be very slightly different. Cheers

G'day Gash

What would be your hop schedule for this if you did it in a no chill cube?

Hi Gash, brewed this in the weekend in Robo, stuck to recipe.

Pitched Nottingham at 24c, woke to 22c with airlock action. Came home from work and temp is 25/26c and going bananas

Is this normal?? should I be worried about Esters?

Sorry mate missed this one, I dont use Nottingham, but to be honest yes I would be worried, temp control is the most important thing in brewing, It might be fine fingers crossed!
Keep us updated

People always say sanitation is the most important, I disagree, if you clean well enough you can skip sanitation, but a bad ferment can ruin the perfect brew.
Cheers mate!

Hi Gash, any chance you could post the extract recipe link again, tried it but goes to error page?. Even better would be a beersmith link if possible

Thanks Gash.

I checked it yesterday (day 4) already at FG of 1.010 - might set a new record for fasting ferment time.

Tastes fine, not as hoppy but this is because this smell now fills my lounge room.

Have dry hopped as per your recipe, looking forward to this one.

ps. won't use Nottingham again.

cheers.

Brewing a familiar Dark Mild later today. (hint: Was the bastard tired? Or was he run over by a tire (tyre). No one really knows). One thing for sure. It will be a treat when done. Cheers!
