Basic pale ale was created by peekaboo_jones
Hi brewer's,
I'm looking at brewing this weekend, and something easy to make and tasty.
I've got some new coopers ale malt which I've been told is similar to Simpsons golden promise.

How does this seem?
It'll be no chilled FYI

Looks pretty good as is mate. Should be tasty.

Personally I don't think the carapils offers anything, though also wont hurt anything, if its been added for head I think the caramunich and base malt will take care of that.
Since its no chill I'd probably move the 10min Centennial add to 5 mins just so its not boiled so long and hopefully you'd get more flavour out of it, but again I think it will be fine as you have it there, just what I would do.

Let us know how it all goes mate! Cheers!

Thanks mate.
Yeah the carapils was added for head, I can probably save it for something else later, like a kit based beer maybe.
Do you think it's balanced enough? My old computer is stuffed so I've only got BeerSmith app...
I want reasonable hop flavour and aroma, so if you think so I'm more than happy to move those additions into the 5min addition. Colour should be ok, not too dark, not too light?

After flame out it'll probably sit for 10-15 mins anyway before I transfer to the cube, I'll use a hop bag, as lately I've not had good experiences with the keg king hop spider, it's too fine and clogs up.
Cheers!

I think the bitterness ratio is about right .7 ish. I think move the 10mins centennial to 5 min and the rest is probably good, I wouldn't leave it sit too long, maybe 5mins if you need too, and get it in the cube.
I usually use bags for the late hops, too much for the basket, but I do use the basket for 60mins some times. The last few brews when no chilling I havent used bags or baskets at all, only when I use my plate chiller. I do end up with some hop in the cube though.
Beersmith is saying everything is fine, colour etc.

Should be good!
Cheers!

Brewing a familiar Dark Mild later today. (hint: Was the bastard tired? Or was he run over by a tire (tyre). No one really knows). One thing for sure. It will be a treat when done. Cheers!
