Hey guys,
Thanks for the help on my questions. I've got one last one, looking at ordering grains and hops for my first go on the RB. How often would you put rice hulls or oat hulls in your mash to prevent a stuck sparge? I will be looking at between 5-6kg of gladfield pale malt and wondering if I need to worry about any hulls, if so, what's the ratio you would put hills in to your grain?
Cheers

I have heard of people doing a double mash/single boil to produce more volume with additional water to make a high ABV beer with decent volume. This is in the 9%+ Imperial Stout range.

I did a 9% although I did a two hour boil, but I was only brewing a 15L batch, I could of pushed it bigger. Dont forget when doing huge beers like that is great too add some dark candy sugar or even just sugar, it helps the ferment and bumps up the alc%

Brewing a familiar Dark Mild later today. (hint: Was the bastard tired? Or was he run over by a tire (tyre). No one really knows). One thing for sure. It will be a treat when done. Cheers!
