Brewed this yesterday! First time doing a minimash.
I reckon i screwed up. Spilled hoppy water off an un sanitised plate back into the hot wort. Dumb arse.

Still got it in the fermenter hoping wort was still hot enough to at least pasteurise.

Will update on how it goes. OG was 1050 so happy with that.

Thanks for the vid Gash. It was the push I needed to give it a go.

Turned out beautifully.

As I mentioned, this was my first time dabbling with grains, It turned out nice
Bottled it though.

My misso hates beer and even she liked it.

Props to Gash for the recipe it's good.

Going to my local brew shop this weekend and grabbing a brewzilla and all the gear to do your all grain version.

Thank god for tax time otherwise I would never afford it lol.

Anyway what I am trying to say is thank you =)

Hey mate,
ive got this NEIPA in the fermenter now and will be bottling also.
This is my first poke at brewing with a mash of some sort and was wondering if you primed your bottles??? if so, with how much?
I as ask as i remember reading somewhere that hoppy beers such as this shouldn't got thorough a secondary fermentation.
Thanks in advance

gidday, yes carbonate your bottles.1 carbonation drop for 500 mils and 2 for 750 mil bottles. If your using sugar 1/2 teaspoon for 500 and 1 for 750.
Make sure you use some sort of bottling wand or hose to prevent any aeration which could cause some oxidation especially with thoughs very hoppy beers. Cheers

I just bottled my test bottles with the usual 2 carb drops 750ml. Its true that hoppy beers suffer a little from a secondary ferment but if you're bottling you don't have too much choice! There is a thing called hop creep where they say that very hoppy beers can continue to ferment further than expected in the bottle, but its very hard to tell if it will happen and how much. I guess the best approach is to just keep drinking them and if you notice them starting to over carb fridge them all. Cheers!

Brewing a familiar Dark Mild later today. (hint: Was the bastard tired? Or was he run over by a tire (tyre). No one really knows). One thing for sure. It will be a treat when done. Cheers!
