I worked this event last year and had a great time, last year there were 60 specially brewed beers just for this event. Get involved or just buy a ticket! This is an email I got from the volunteer co-ordinator today.
Have you heard that the Great Australasian Beer SpecTAPular is back for 2013...planned to be even bigger, and even better.
We had a great time at GABS last year, and learnt a lot. We are keen to apply those lessons to create an even better event and volunteer experience. And, we are keen to have our fabulous 2012 volunteers back to helps us again.
We need you Friday 24 through Sunday 26 May for five volunteer shifts.

Once again, you can volunteer for two sessions, and attend a free session for each of your volunteer sessions. You will get an exclusive volunteer t-shirt, and $10 for food at your volunteer shift. And, you will meet like-minded beery people and have lots of fun.
We are keen for 240 volunteers with RSA to help on the newly designed bars. Gone will be the queues, with each of the container broken into sections and operating as individual bars.
We also need great volunteers to help out at the door, to support Craft Beer College and to support the brewery stands that will line the walls of the gorgeous Exhibition Building...Yes, brewery stands have been added to the event. They will be serving beer in addition to the container bars.
We are looking for 45 RSA officers to help out on the floor, supported by a small crew who will walk around the crowd, keep them entertained and help with the collection of paddles to keep them in circulation.
And although you can choose these sessions on the website, we are keen to have a small crew to help the breweries pack in and out...If you are keen on this role - it will be hard work - send me an email at
