Did this Wednesday just gone, what i consider my first all grain proper. It's bubbling away slowly now and i hope she will be a nice light drinking beer.

I have done one or two all grain before this but they were only half arsed attempts, this was the first one where i had an actual long time brewer there to guide me so i am counting this as AG #1 for that reason 
One thing to note on this was we only ended up with 17 litres into the fermenter when we estimated 22 litres. We reckon that between the mash tun and boiler there was an extra 5 litres lost that we had not accounted for.
So today at some stage i have to fill the mash tun and boiler and measure deadspace again, i had done it before but obviously i got that wrong.

Drunken Ramblings
Kit Brew Day Tomorrow, Black Rock Pale ale and number 40 larger brew enhancer by mangrove jacks. And possibly some honey. Yeast US05 ??
3 weeks into dry July and going strong, im on the homeward stretch.

Brewing a familiar Dark Mild later today. (hint: Was the bastard tired? Or was he run over by a tire (tyre). No one really knows). One thing for sure. It will be a treat when done. Cheers!
