I usually cut it from the recipe when I post it here, I have been adding salts for a while now, just to adjust the water more to the style of beer, this is different for everyone so I usually take it out.

The idea is too match the water profile to the area you like the beer from, my water is different to yours, so if I wanted to clone your beer I'd adjust my water to match yours.
They also can make things shine through a little more, like the malt or the hops if you chose the right one. I'll do a quick video on it soon, but its hard because its different for everyone

Yes i am actually thinking of sending a water sample to UK to a place for full analysis actually just to see what is in our water. Cant rely on the local council tests, 2 years out of date. Its a place called Murphys in UK does it for like £17 stg and you get a full report back. :woohoo:

That is great if you can afford it Greg, otherwise the two year old one would ok, don't think it would of changed much, but a council only doing it every two years sounds a little odd. Think out of the box, many places like Aquariums etc will be testing water or at least know the basics about their supply. Some sweet talking maybe needed though.

Brewing a familiar Dark Mild later today. (hint: Was the bastard tired? Or was he run over by a tire (tyre). No one really knows). One thing for sure. It will be a treat when done. Cheers!
