ok so i put this down a few weeks ago and its not bad at all. its a scaled down northern brewer recipe but i found it lacked that caramel flavour. what could i change or add to increase that caramel flavour?

Batch size 5lt
990 g Pale Malt (2 Row) US (3.9 EBC) Grain 1 89.7 %
70 g Caramel/Crystal Malt - 60L (118.2 EBC) Grain 2 6.2 %
45 g Special B Malt (354.6 EBC) Grain 3 4.1 %
2.65 g Columbus (Tomahawk) [14.00 %] - Boil 60.0 min Hop 4 21.7 IBUs
2.65 g Chinook [13.00 %] - Boil 20.0 min Hop 5 12.2 IBUs
5.30 g Cascade [5.50 %] - Boil 5.0 min Hop 6 3.4 IBUs

5.65 g Centennial [10.00 %] - Dry Hop 7.0 Days Hop 8 0.0 IBUs

Well you could add some more caramel malt of course, maybe mix it up, add some dark and some mid crystals. You could also try caramelising some of the wort, there is a few ways of doing this, and it maybe a little harder with a small batch because you take some of the first runnings of wort and boil it hard while your doing the rest of the sparge etc and then add it back into the rest of the wort when done, also makes predicting the final OG etc a little harder. You can also mash higher to leave more sugars behind and use a yeast with low attenuation so again more sugars are left behind.

ive modified the recipe a little to hopefully improve the flavours . i also lowered the hop additions to low the bittering to help increase sweetness.
