Conditioning Beer was created by Walruss
The more I brew the more confused I get.
I have read people are conditioning there beers for weeks and even months.
typically as soon as the fermenting stage has finished, usually around 7 days, I then rack the beer into a keg, from that keg I filter the beer into another keg, I then put the keg into my Kegerator for around 24 hours and then carbonate for another 24 hours and thats it. The beer tastes great.
Am I doing this all wrong ?
Your suggestions are most welcome
cheers

I don't think you are doing it wrong at all, especially if your beer tastes good! Most beers just do not need to sit there for weeks on end, big beers, dark beers and lagers can benefit from some conditioning time, the dark beers get a smoother taste and lager yeast takes a while to lose its foul smell, but most regular ales are fine brewed and served quickly!

Brewing a familiar Dark Mild later today. (hint: Was the bastard tired? Or was he run over by a tire (tyre). No one really knows). One thing for sure. It will be a treat when done. Cheers!
