Recipe from BYO magazine Nov 2010
19L, OG 1.092 FG 1.023 IBU 94 SRM 19 ABV 8.9

7.8kg pale malt
910g caramel 60L
68g Chinook (12%) First Wort Hop
60g Chinook (12%) 60 mins
55g Cascade (5%) Flameout
28g Cascade whirlpool
25g Centennial whirlpool

Ale Yeast US05

mash at 68c collect enough wort for a 3 hour boil! 25L-30L depending on boil off
remove previously added hops from wort after adding the 0min add.
whirlpool hops for 10mins and then let sit for 45mins before cooling.
alternately add the whirlpool hops at flameout, and just whirlpool for 10mins before cooling.
ferment at 20c

Brewing a familiar Dark Mild later today. (hint: Was the bastard tired? Or was he run over by a tire (tyre). No one really knows). One thing for sure. It will be a treat when done. Cheers!
