Hopped Up Aussie Pale Ale (Coopers) Extract was created by hardingbrew86
Hi All,

So today was an experiment day - which I absolutely get a thrill out of doing.
Brewed a Hoppy Pale Ale extract with LDM as an extra additive - see the recipe I used today.

500g Light Dry Malt
1.7kg Coopers Pale Ale extract
1kg Brew Enhancer 2
25g Centennial - 15 min hop addition
25g Cascade - 15 min hop addition
25g Citra - flame out/Whirpool hop addition.
Coopers yeast.

Wasn't sure what to expect the OG reading to be as I've never used a hydrometer before - but after a 15 min boil it came out as being 1.060

Can't wait to see what it finishes on - Will send some much needed pics once bottled and matured.

Side note - avoided the boil over (just) - mental note - don't brew when other housemates are around!!

Brewing a familiar Dark Mild later today. (hint: Was the bastard tired? Or was he run over by a tire (tyre). No one really knows). One thing for sure. It will be a treat when done. Cheers!
