Low Gravity

Gday All, my current brew I've just bottled is the 'Cascarillo' Amber ale from the coopers site.A very basic brew with 2 cans of T.C Amber extract and 3 different stage hop additions.Now here's where I'm stumped!when I checked the Og it was 1035 way too low I would think! According to the recipe fg should be 1006-1010 Abv 4.7. But my fg was down to 1004???? The only thing I can think of is that I did a 60min boil in 5ltrs of water with 500g of extract instead of 30 min as per recipe and somehow that lowered the gravity, which is arse about to What I've read more evaporation = higher G! Is this right?and can someone shed some light on this for me.cheers Dave

Thanks mate! Thought I musta buggered something up,but it was just Coopers messing with me!Ive just chucked on the same brew with a kg of Ldm and that got me up to a more respectable score 1049,while I was at it I upped the hop amounts as well!why not eh!
