it sounds like a Best Malz grain which is Wort colour EBC/Lovibond 3.0/1.6 . so look for a carapils, carafoam or very light crystal or caramel malt that nearly matches those numbers EBC 3 or 1.6 Lovibond which ever your program uses. Beersmith says Carapils is 3 EBC so I'd go with that if it is there.
Some grains are extremely similar but names like carapils are copyrighted so other companies have to use different names.

thanks Gash , could you recommend a good online Vendor for brew ingredients, Victorian seller prefered but happy with oz wide

Grain and Grape stock a fair amount of stuff and are usually prompt. Think it costs about $11 or $12 for regular post up to 20kg. Core brewing are fairly new and might have some stuff that Grain and Grape doesn't. Keg King do have ingredients but it's not listed on their site unfortunately.

Brewing a familiar Dark Mild later today. (hint: Was the bastard tired? Or was he run over by a tire (tyre). No one really knows). One thing for sure. It will be a treat when done. Cheers!
